Free Ziyaraat Plan (FZP) divided into three Phases:
| Phase I |
Phase I: Presently, the Free Ziyaraat Project is in its Phase I and serving the Jaferia communities nationwide since 2018. Under Phase I, all adult participants are allowed to participate in FZP Draws without any restrictions. During last three years, Molana had conducted ten Draws and randomly selected 31 winners to receive Free Ziyaraat opportunities. Some accepted and completed the Ziyaraat journey, some have donated to the Ziyaraat Fund, and some others are delayed due to Covid -19. Presently, two more Draws #11 ( scheduled in April 2022) and #12 (scheduled in August 2022) are left under Phase I.

| Phase II
Draw #13 To #24 |
Phase II is intended to focus attention on Jaferia young adults. Under this Phase , only the Young Adults belonging to, 19 to 39 yrs of age group, would receive the free Ziyaraat opportunities from future twelve FZP Draws beginning Draw #13.
Existing Members/Participants: Those Members who have paid membership dues, and are current, and those participants who are holding valid Entry numbers for Draw #11 and #12 will continue to participate and receive benefits as before. The Members and participants are requested to continue their valuable support and participation in Draw #13 and all subsequent Draws, even though they will not receive any free Ziyaraat opportunities unless they happen to belong to age group of 19 to 39 yrs. |

Final Phase III: Upon completion of Phae II ( date unknown) the Project is expected to enter into its Final phase, the Phase III, which will be intended to serve and benefit exclusively the College / University Students to fulfill Shia Youth’s important Mission, insha’Allah.

The Free Ziyaraat Plan (FZP)

What is this Plan? – The Free Ziyaraat Plan (FZP) provides Free ziyarat opportunity to participants and Members by conducting three Draws, offering 9 free Ziyaraat opportunities, per year. The Draws are normally held in April, July and November. Each participant is required to buy Entry number(s) by paying a donation of $25 per number per Draw. One person can buy up to four numbers. The existing Members can pay annual membership fee of $30 and become eligible to participate in all three Draws of the year. New members can also join the FZP, for details please see the Terms and Conditions.
How does it work?– To participate, one purchases one or more Entry numbers from a list of slot numbers available. How to purchase Entry numbers and make payments, instructions are provided in the Power Point Slides ( Go to Homepage and Click Free Ziyaraat Plan). At present, a Promotion is on going which entitles every Entry purchased for Draw #6 is also good and valid for Draw#7 without any additional cost.
Who is eligible to participate? – Any Shia Muslim, living in USA as US Citizen or Permanent Resident, age 19 yrs. and above (see Phases above) can participate.
Who are Members, how to become a Member?- Shia Youth has created an Annual Membership Plan (AMP). Those participants who purchased Entries during 2018 or 2019, became eligible to become Members. At present there are approximately 90 members. Any person who completes participation in any two consecutive Draws #5, #6, and #7 will automatically become eligible to join the AMP at the end of year 2020. Those who misses this opportunity to become a Member will have to spend $150 to acquire a family membership for two years.
How and who opens the Draws? – About 30 days prior to any Draw, Shia Youth Team announces the date of the Draw to be opened, and last date to purchase Entries for the Draw. The announcement is generally done through Shia Youth website www.shia-youth.org (see Category: Inserts/Messages). On the scheduled date, generally one Winner and two Alternate Winners are randomly selected by a Molana or a Scholar. The winners are immediately informed by emails and those who accept are provided with Award Certificates.
What are the Award Certificates? – The Award Certificate issued to the Winner, guarantees to receive a Full Package including R.T. Air ticket from US to Iraq, Visa, 7/8 Nights Hotel, Meals, and Ground transportation in Iraq (value $2200). The Award Certificates issued to Alternate Winners, guarantees each Alt Winner to receive the Land Package including Visa (value $900). All Award certificates are normally valid for a period of nine months except Draws #5, #6, and #7 for which validity period is extended to 18 months due to COVID -19.
Do you use your own Ziyaraat Groups?– Shia Youth has selected three Ziyaraat Group Operators to take the Winners and Alt. Winners for the Ziyaraat preferably during off season period. The winners are also permitted to select their own groups and travel any time of the year provided they pay the cost out of their pocket and claim reimbursement, up to the allocated amount, upon return from the Journey.
